| | How Many Players : | |
| | 2 Players Game. Phugadi originated in Maharashtra, but today it is extremely popular all over the country.
An interesting feature of the game is that while playing, the left foot rotates at one spot, while the right foot moves around and controls the speed of the rotation.

| | How To Play : Phugadi is played by two children who rotate around a spot holding each other's hands tightly crossed at wrists.
With their bodies leaning backward, the children move around in a circular motion, slightly pulling the partner towards them as the speed increases. This goes on till the 'dizzying' effect of going round in circles forces the children to stop!
And, of course, laughter follows! The children often recite verses while playing phugadi.
Some of the original Marathi couplets you can try out are:

2) Sameen-darach valoo, chalneet chaloo, Amhi doghi matinee, ganzipha kheloo.
3) Phoogadi phulatay, chavalee dulatay, chavalee dulatay, Pathi vareel venijashi nageen khela-tay.
There is also a Punjabi couplet:
1) Keekli bai keekli, Pag mere veer di....
